First-Year POLISH 402
at Padelford, Room A216
Instructor: Krystyna Untersteiner
Polish 402 is the second class in a three quarter course sequence of first year (beginning) Polish. Students should be familiar with the material covered in Polish 401 (first 10 chapters). After the whole year’s sequence, students should be able to be creative with the language at the sentence level, handle basic everyday life situations, read simple connected texts dealing with basic personal and social needs, write short letters, postcards, and diary entries, take down simple notes (e.g. phone messages), etc. The goal is to move from Novice Low to Novice High/Intermediate Low on the ACTFL Proficiency Scale.
