Kazimierz Braun presently professor of Theatre at SUNY University at
Buffalo, is author of nearly 20 scholarly books, including the
indispensable A History of Polish Theater, 1939-1989: Spheres of
Captivity and Freedom (Greenwood Press, 1996), A Concise History
of Polish Theater from the Eleventh to the Twentieth Centuries
(Mellen Press, 2003) and A Concise History of American Theater
(Krótka historia teatru amerykańskiego) published by Wydawnictwo
Naukowe Uniwersytetu im. A. Mickiewicza, Poznań, 2005). He is the
subject of Horizons of Theater: Essays on the Creative Work of
Kazimierz Braun (Wydawnictwo A. Marszałek, Toruń, 2004). He is also
an accomplished playwright, poet, essayist, and novelist.
