GENERAL AUCTION RULES
Silent Auction Rules
Silent Auction items will
be displayed at the lower level of the Polish Hall. Silent Auction bidding
will begin at 5:00 PM and closings of its different sections will be
announced throughout the evening. Please bid on as many items as you
wish and review your bids frequently.
- A bid number
will be assigned to all registered guests (couples will share a
number). You will get your Bid Number at the registration time.
- You may bid on any
item and on any number of items in the Silent Auction until
the sections are officially closed.
- Writing your bid
number and your name next to any amount on the bidding sheet
makes Silent Auction bids. Skip down or across the form as
you wish. The winner will be the number next to the highest bid
amount at the end of the given section’s closing time. A copy
of the bid sheet will remain with the item after the closing and
will indicate the purchaser. Do not remove the items until paid
for.
- To be the “instant
winner” of a given item, enter your bid number in the
Guaranteed Purchase box.
- Runners will pick up
one copy of the bid sheets in the Silent Auction as each section
closes.
- Your purchase slips
will be compiled at the cashier’s desk where you can pay once
the bill is prepared. Please make one payment by cash, check or
credit card at the completion of your participation in the
auction.
- Your name and bid
number appearing on the bid sheet constitute a legal contract to
purchase. All sales are final and no exchanges or refunds will
be honored.
- Specific dates on
service items, trips, etc., must be agreed upon between the
purchaser and the donor(s) by the specified deadline.
- Before removal, items
must be accompanied by a “paid” receipt given the purchaser at
time of payment. All items must be removed the evening of the
auction.
- Cashiers will have
gift certificates available for those items not physically
present.
